Corporate Events: Bailey’s Stardust

As one of the leading event companies in London, we regularly design events at the National Portrait Gallery around their iconic exhibitions. David Bailey personally selected and printed 250 images for this exhibition and Bailey’s Stardust was presented thematically across a series of contrasting rooms. It illustrated the extraordinary range of subjects that Bailey captured from actors, writers, musicians, filmmakers, designers, models, artists to characters encountered on his travels; many of them famous, some anonymous, all of them unforgettable.

Mango Pie designed and managed two separate events for our client, Herbert Smith Freehills, the first of the two being an intimate dinner in the Victorian Galleries. We dressed a 50 ft long dining table with a blossom embroidered top cloth, contrasting with crisp teal napkins along with teal and white French chairs.

For the reception, we had the existing information desk classed in fuchsia pink PVC to create a theatrical bar. We wanted to have flowers cascading from above the head height of the guests and so we designed and manufactured iron troughs on stilts which each held twenty kilos worth of water and flowers.

Two stunning events for one stunning exhibition!
