If you’re considering venue hire in London with Mango Pie managing your event, you probably can’t get a more illustrious venue than The Savoy. Built by the impresario Richard D’Oyly Carte with profits from his Gilbert and Sullivan operas, the hotel first opened its doors in 1889 and remained open until 2007 when it closed for three years whilst it had a £220m refurbishment. For venue hire the Banqueting Rooms are ideal for hosting grander affairs while the Private Rooms are perfect for smaller and more personal gatherings. The hotel boasts a separate River Entrance for private events, on the Thames side of the building, that gives event guests a real sense of arrival. The Lancaster Ballroom is the largest event space and can hold 380 for a dinner or wedding reception, whereas the Abraham Lincoln Room can hold up 150 guests. We’ve organised many stunning events at this historic venue, talk to us about how we can help you do the same.
