07 Sep The Pyjama Game: The quest for luxury bridal party sleepwear
Weddings: Luxury Bridal Sleepwear
As someone who spends a huge amount of time designing and planning perfect weddings (including, now my own!), I have recently been looking for luxury bridal party sleepwear on behalf of a client. When I sat down at the computer ready to search the internet for sleepwear for weddings I hit a stumbling block trying to find a UK based company. For example online boutique Pretty Plum Sugar based in the United States are fun, comfortable and offer a fantastic range of boyfriend shirts, romper sets and accessories. We have an abundance of beautiful online lingerie boutiques such as Fleur of England, Bordelle and Rigby and Peller but I have I found tons more options in the USA and Australia. In all honesty when it comes to searching the net for unique designs we always tend to find this problem and source from abroad on many occasions. As a UK based company we of course want to support local suppliers and after a few hours of searching I did find some beautiful online luxury sleepwear and loungewear boutiques in London.
Each of the companies listed use the finest fabrics and prints and I am sure you will agree that their designs are luxurious and will most definitely help you get good nights sleep before your big day. Add a personal touch by having your bridesmaids names embroidered onto their special sets.
YOLKE founded by Ella Ringner and Anna Williamson have a great range of contemporary and playful designs. Known as the ‘new silk girls on the block’ since launching in 2013 they have established a successful business. Offering a Monogramming service which allows you to add that personal touch to your PJ’s and a beautiful range of accessories including silk slippers and eye masks. YOLKE have also featured in publications such as VOGUE, Grazia and ELLE.
Family run business Derek Rose have been working together for three generations since 1926. Offering a great collection of comfy nightwear and loungewear using the finest cashmere, wool, cottons and silk they are perfect for your bridal party. Derek Rose also have ranges to suit the whole family including the cutest children’s pyjamas. My favourite collection has to be ‘Toile De Jouy’ inspired by Oscar Wilde and hand drawn in their London design studio. Derek Rose have featured in a variety of styled shoots with the likes of Helen Mirren, James Franco and Eddie Redmayne wearing their luxury sleepwear.
Olivia has worked as a trend forecaster both in the UK and China for luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Lamborghini. Inspired by the lounging pyjamas worn by Coco Chanel she began working with her tailor to design the perfect PJ’s. In 2011 the Olivia von Halle brand was established. Offering a variety of luxury collections with some of the most beautiful designs. Metallic trims, flamboyant prints and a bridal collection which is the perfect mix of both classic and modern are featured on her online boutique.
Caroline Randall unlike the other online boutiques feature a variety of luxury sleepwear, lingerie and nightwear from around the globe. Laurence Tarvernier, Luna Di Seta and Vivis are just some of the brands featured on the website. Caroline Randall started out as a fitting consultant and started her own boutique in 2009.
