Event Design Portfolio: Audrey Hepburn Exhibition, National Portrait Gallery, London

Event design is a core part of our expertise as event planners. As approved suppliers, we are very used to designing and manage events at the National Portrait Gallery in London running alongside their iconic and very varied exhibitions and it’s one of our very favourite venues. This stunning photographic exhibition illustrated the life of actress and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn (1929-1993). From her early years as a chorus girl in London’s West End through to her philanthropic work in later life. Portraits of an Icon celebrated one of the world’s most photographed and recognisable stars.

In our event design planning we decided we wanted to celebrate Audrey’s work in Hollywood and took influence from Breakfast at Tiffany’s probably her most celebrated film role (although we were surprised to discover it was not one of her Best Actress Oscars). The famous ‘Tiffany blue’ featured throughout the theme; in the room decorations, the event staff clothing and even the food. We even had Audrey herself make an appearance to greet the guests!
